Mersen is pleased to announce that its plant at Angers is now officially certified according to the automotive-specific quality management standard IATF 16949.
This standard, based on ISO/TS 16949, is an international standard describing the quality management systems needed to supply highly engineered products within the automotive industry. The IATF certification and standards drive the quality management system to provide continual improvement, risk management and defect prevention to ensure continued supply of on time quality products in the automotive sector.
For Mersen, this successful transition audit and the associated maintenance of the IATF 16949 certification conclude several months of adaptation to strengthen the process-oriented approach of quality management. It also demonstrates how Mersen has positioned itself as a competent and reliable partner to the automotive industry.
