Generator, turbogenerator and alternator carbon brushes
Mersen offers a wide range of carbon brushes for medium and high-speed applications.
- For turbogenerators, our LFC brush grades are internationally renowned, especially LFC554 grades.
- For wind mills, CG626, CG677 and MC837 grades are known throughout the world.
Our LFC grades are soft graphite grades which are prepared from graphite powders (natural purified or artificial), agglomerated with appropriate binders to give them good resistance to shocks and mechanical vibrations.
Our CG / MC grades have different copper contents in order to allow high current transmission at variable peripheral speed and conditions.
